The Desiree Mesolella Art Scholarship was founded in June 2008 to honor the memory of Desiree Lee Mesolella.
The recipeint of an Art Talent Scholarhsip at Adelphi University in New York, Desiree had completed her sophomore year when her life was tragically taken by a drug and alcohol impaired driver.
Every year the foundation presents each of two artistically talented Rhode Island high school seniors with $5000.00 scholarships to assist them in furthering their artistic education and dreams.
Applications are mailed to the guidance office and art department of every public and private RI high school each December.
